About Airprint Press

Airprint Press, part of the Airplant Project, is an artist-run press dedicated to free access to its published books.

You can read our books online (please be kind to our bandwith by downloading files for repeat viewing!), or download files to print your own copy. Airprint Press encourages sharing of our books for non-commercial purposes. Read more about Copyright here. We may selectively offer limited copies from our small print runs for purchase as a convenience.

Airprint was started by artists Justin Hunter Allen and Lucy Kirkman Allen, a husband and wife team that often collaboratively curate exhibitions. The Allens began making exhibition catalogues to document projects at Studio DTFU (Dallas, TX). They loved making books and valued having the catalogues once the exhibitions were over, but found they were lucky to break even on the cost of printing. Airprint Press, with its focus on online viewing and self-printing, reduces the overhead costs of producing books.

The first project released under Airprint Press was the Serendipity: Williams House 2014-2016 book series. Stay tuned for new titles!
